Because the 4th July is unique to America, the World Cup is a World event?

When you get to be as big (and as good) as Google, you would think it no longer matters what they throw up as a Doodle - they could put girls in bikinis everyday & there would be those women who would get upset - but tGoogle's #s wouldnt be hit in the slightest.

It would be funny, in a way, for them to excercise this - a way to brag "we can do whatever we want !"

Then after proving a point, they would go back to normal of course.

This one is pretty cool:

You can see the US 4th of July doodle here http://www.google.com/doodles/fourth-of-july-2014

Cool, in this link you can see the "reach" this doodle has.

Simple, you are visiting google.hn.  When I go there, I get the same one as you. google.com has the US doodle.
