Waitresses Carry Guns At Shooter's Grill

Recommended Posts

RIFLE, Colo. (AP) ? Many stores and restaurants are telling people not to bring their guns inside, but one western Colorado restaurant not only embraces the practice of packing heat, it encourages its customers to carry openly ? and its waitresses do, too.

As she takes your order at Shooters Grill in the town of Rifle ? yes, Rifle ? waitress Ashlee Saenz carries a pad, pen and a loaded Ruger .357 Blackhawk revolver holstered on her leg, Old West style.

It's loaded, and she knows how to use it.

Colorado is among the states where openly carrying a gun in public is legal.

But in Rifle, Saenz, her co-workers and her customers at Shooters Grill are encouraged to bring their holstered guns in the restaurant, The Glenwood Springs Post Independent reports .

State law allows local governments and businesses to prohibit guns in their buildings, but a sign on Shooters' front door reads: "Guns are welcome on premises. Please keep all weapons holstered unless need arises. In such case, judicious marksmanship is appreciated."

Shooters also hosts training that qualifies customers for Colorado and Utah concealed weapon permits. The $75 price tag includes dinner.

I simply dont understand any of this.  Bringing guns to the grocery store, now to a restaurant in a non-ghetto part of town - it doesnt make any sense.  And the people I see protesting are the exact type of people who shouldn't have guns.

Dont get me wrong, I was brought up around guns. I had my first shotgun, and rifle before I had a car.  My father used to be a world-class trophy hunter, and I used to do some competitive precision shooting.  But this doesnt make any sense to me whatsoever.....guns in Target ?   Target ?  (no pun intended)

I can understand someone wanting to pack a concealed weapon in wal-mart with all of the pathetic sub-human lifeforms that shop there regularly, but Target ?

Someone that follows this topic can maybe educate me as to why this isnt so ridiculously stupid.

FWIW, every time I would go to the gun show with my brother and father, I would see absolute nut jobs.  Freaks, and psychos with guns -- and every time my father would say, "The reason I carry a gun, is because people like that have guns.."

Subhuman lifeforms don't restrict the locales where the do bad things, so you assume the worst.

It's better to have and need not, than to need and have not.

When the bad guy has drawn a gun, the one in her holster is useless outside of getting people killed. This isn't a western.

you're assuming that there are no good guys behind the bad guy with guns drawn.

Remember, we're supposed to let the scumbag murder, rape, and steal all they want while the sheep wait for the police to come cleanup the mess afterwards, self defense in ANY shape or form is highly frowned upon by the Left

What a ridiculously stupid argument. Stating others have said things they haven't. At least argue like a mature person.

How's this for mature? What's wrong for people to do and encourage others to do something that's legal? Or is your only "problem" the fact that it's related to find and toy have been brainwashed into irrationally hating them for no legitimate reason?

I despair at American culture, I really do. It concerns me that anyone could think this is desirable.

Sure, why shouldn't she? If "Americans" can carry concealed weapons for "Protection", she is also allowed to carry any "Dangerous, Deadly" Weapons.

If your Family/ kids made any crap mess in restaurant: BANG BANG! there goes your gun control and your stupid polices.

Go somewhere else if you don't like gun pointed toward your 2 year old puppy or kitten...

:D lol

What are you even talking about ? The last sentence isn't even a valid sentence and has no meaning.

the biggest question to me is a very simple.... "why?"

(and try not to say "because we can")

Here lets try your kind of logic.  A very simple question...why not?  And please try to respond with actual facts, not some speculative, what if, made up fantasies.  What they are doing is legal, no one has been harmed and what has this to do with you.

that wasn't an answer to his question.

Hows this for mature? I own a gun, carry it under my jacket but ugly broads like in the other thread carrying semi-auto rifles are effin idiots and has nothing to do with encourage other people.

Like I said in the other topic, US gun laws are a joke.

Guns and food. It's obvious.

Bloody yokels.

What's next? Chainsaws and Burgers? Anthrax and Sandwiches?

Absolutely moronic.

I know, thank you for your remarkably astute reminder.

Like I said in the other topic, US gun laws are a joke.

Most of the guns laws in the USA are enacted at the state level and vary greatly.  Some states such as Texas, Arizona, Colorado, etc., have fewer restrictions regarding open carry, while states such as California, Illinois, etc., impose more stringent regulations.

I, for one, would like to see a more universal approach, a unified gun code.  I do not agree with open carry, it usefulness/necessity disappeared long ago once the US finished its westward expansion.  The Wild West days are long gone and having a gun on your hip today serves no purpose, other than a "hey look at me" posture.  I'm a gun owner, too, and this kind of behavior is ridiculous.  IMO
