You just don't see the same thing happening in countries like the UK or Germany.

Actually, yes you do.. Ask people like Jean Charles de Menezes and Mark Duggan.  (Oh wait, you can't... The cops killed them and got away with it.)

It's a LOT rarer here, but it DOES still happen. :(

These kids weren't ordered to join. They did so of their own free will knowing full well what they were in for, which for most of them is to play real life Call of Duty (warning: may be traumatizing for some) with real people and real life guns to the soundtrack of The Roof is on Fire. Getting paid for that is a bonus. It's sure a hell lot more than what they would make at McDonald's per hour. Also they'd get called heroes back home.

Cant remember a news where you were constantly under fire (or on day-to-day fear of stepping on an IED) working in ´Donalnds.

AS STATED PREVIOUSLY,

the US had a large magazine ban about 20 years ago. The law expired due to a sunset provision, but the research after showed it had ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT.

Why?

Because,

1) very few crimes are committed with rifles of any kind so they are a statistical null.

Note here that something like a MAC-10 or UZI is classified as a handgun, not a rifle, because of their short length.

2) anyone wanting a larger capacity can easily tape 2 mags together and RAPIDLY flip them when one runs out. We're talking a second or so with practice.

3) if they're REALLY dedicated minor sheet metal (or in some cases, plastic) work can make or extend a mag.

Magazines are basically just an elongated box with a ~20 guage piano wire spring inside. The follower (bullet pusher) can be made of shaped plastic, brass or even dense wood. Anyone with high school shop skills can make one. Instructions are online.
