Windows 8.1 INetcache Folder

Recommended Posts

Just clear Temporary Internet Files from Disk Cleanup or use third party tool like CCleaner or Bleachbit.

Open RUN using Windows Key + R, type "cleanmgr" without quotes and select Operating System driver and tick Temporary Internet Files to clean cache.

Tried this, but temp says only 81mb there. where is that 7-8gb I am seeing under INetcache?

Can you show me your Startup program?

If you are using Windows 8+ then you can do it through opening Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) and open "Startup" tab.

If you are usin Windows 7 or below then you can do it through using RUN and type msconfig and open "Startup" tab.

Take screenshot using Alt+PrintScr or use snipping tools present in Windows 7 onward.

EDIT: If you wanna see folder yourself, you have to untick this option in Folder Option.

Are you on Windows 8.1 Update 1? Looking online, I see indications that earlier versions of 8 accumulate data from some streaming apps to the degree that the INetCache folder balloons to an alarming size.
