He's not really interested in 3D after me telling him it's really not a great overall experience, and pretty much ruins an otherwise excellent picture by halving the resolution. (personal opinion based on my LG 47LM670T) He's also not that interested in smart features as he will be using his PC, Xbox One, etc. so that sort of stuff is already covered.
