iCloud problem - losing sync on one device

Hello all. I don't know anything about Macs, but have been asked to look into a problem and I don't have an idea where to start.

 

I have a customer who has an iPad, iPhone and a Mac Book Air. He is using iCloud to sync a bunch of stuff between them. The iPad and the iPhone are fine. The Mac Book seems to sync for about a day then stops, and the only way to fix it is to reinstall it.

 

I don't use Macs (complete newfish) so if anyone has some real basic things I could try or knows where the event logs are in IOS I'd appreciate any advice, no matter how simple it may be.
