I'll be running all modern games @ the native resolution.

Good configuration, but how do you enjoy the games on laptop with 14" screen ? (thing I never understand)

I have my main PC for proper gaming. This is just for when I'm out and about.

The problem with these mobile cards is the lack of comparative benchmarks with desktop cards. Anyway, if we are to take NVIDIA's own performance claims at face value, you should expect to see 30-60fps at high settings in most titles. I personally can't tolerate the ~45fps irregular framerate (i.e. judder) you get with vsync so I'd probably be lowering game settings to hit 60fps or live without vsync altogether.

The specs are surprisingly decent for the price so the laptop seems like a good find.

that's a relatively low resolution these days. that 850M should have no problem. otherwise that GPU isnt powerful.

90% of Windows laptops have 1366x768 displays, so I'm happy with 1600x900 considering the cost of the overall system.

Looks fine. Lower resolution has advantages on mobile gaming platforms; video hardware doesn't need to crunch data for quite as many pixels while running at native resolution.
