xendrome Posted July 10, 2014 Share Posted July 10, 2014 Problem is it's pretty much a throw away once it gets out of warranty, because you won't be able to find repalacement parts for it anywhere. I doubt PC Specialist, due to their low prices, are using custom anything. Meaning replacing/upgrading most components shouldn't be too difficult. Maybe not the custom part itself like the palmrest or LCD backing as those are usually specially designed for that custom build but beyond that you should be fine. In any case, enjoy the new system. I'm still loving my Thinkpad T440s after getting it a few months back (just wanting to change the stupid LG LCD - and I love LG products normally! :P). Using an MSI case, and doing it just like we do desktops now....Actually, I hated that .. it never felt as solid as a quality OEM...
