+Red King Subscriber² Posted July 11, 2014 Subscriber² Share Posted July 11, 2014 So, who here got banned? Warned? Actions taken afterwards? Was the material shared? Was the material copyright? Did you take legal action? Raa and Shadrack 2 Share
Rippleman
i put porn on there almost 2 years ago to see if it would get flagged and still nope. i added the porn on 8/19/2012 and nothing has happened. added: they are just standard .jpg's NOT in a locked/unlocked zip folder... Shadrack
So, who here got banned? Warned? Actions taken afterwards? Was the material shared? Was the material copyright? Did you take legal action? Yes. Thank you. Exactly why I'm doing this. People can postulate all they want. If MS bans me, you all will be the first to know and I'm willing to do that in order to be a "data point". For the record, the pornography I have uploaded to my OneDrive is perfectly legal (i.e., I paid for it and the site I paid allowed for downloads of their original content by their customers). Certainly not redistributing the content and it is certainly not deemed "illegal" content by my local authorities or the local authorities that would be overseeing MS's data centers. i put porn on there almost 2 years ago to see if it would get flagged and still nope. i added the porn on 8/19/2012 and nothing has happened. added: they are just standard .jpg's NOT in a locked/unlocked zip folder... Doesn't really surprise me. I suspect that if someone were to throw some child pornography up there it may be another ball game. Further, I suspect their algorithm to identify the content may have flagged some of my files and someone has probably reviewed them already and deemed them as not related to child pornography. MS would have quite the slippery slope to fall if they start harassing users over this. But I'm certainly interested if they are interested. If they have a problem with this little bit of trivialness then I know to stop wasting my time and money on them.
Obi-Wan Kenobi
The bigger question is, was the porn any good? HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRO!!!!!!!!!!!!! /ontopic: as long as you don't have any child pr0n or anything, I think you'll be fine. I have some barely clothed mamacitas on mine, and have never gotten into any trouble. (a.k.a.: susan coffey) and have never had a problem. Of course, it's just images, but my advice: DON'T save anything to your onedrive folder that you don't want anyone else to see. Create a new folder titled something like "Work Pictures". Then save all the sketchy pics/vids to there, and if it's on the same drive, make sure you encrypt it somehow if you're that worried. I named my folder on my old desktop "Miscellaneous Information", and didn't share it with nobody, encrypted, but that was on 7 Ultimate. I just have 8.1 basic right now on this brand new laptop. I'd give anything for an upgrade key at this point, to make it pro, but I cannot afford it, so I don't even have the bitlocker option. Nor media center. So I'm screwed at that aspect. I'm gonna need help with that upgrade. That is, unless, I can transfer my old 8.1 with media center upgrade key to this new laptop. Wonder if I can? With my old laptop being stolen and all, and not having a backup available.....I can't afford to fork over the upgrade license at this point, with court costs and all. I have to survive and pay my fees. If anyone would be willing to help me out with that too, I'd be forever grateful, and I hope I'm not asking too much, but it sure would help if I could encrypt my data. I don't look at pr0n anymore, don't have the energy or the time. And I'm not trying to threadjack or anything either, just be careful with what you put in your onedrive folder. Create your own, and encrypt it if you can. That's the smartest way I can think of, unless someone else has a better idea?

Don't need to hide it from the wife or anything like that (she is into porn herself), but definitely don't need it cropping up on my work computer somehow!! Guest
The bigger question is, was the porn any good? Hap hap hap happy birthday! To add something to the discussion. You should also not worry about copyrighted material. I have games, movies, music, software, and whatever else uploaded on my OneDrive account. As long as you don't publicly share things and thus encourage and spread piracy, those files won't be subject to filtering / reviewing, excluding the obvious child pr0n filters / scanners.
