Vidalia Chop Wizard Review!

Recommended Posts

They no doubt work, but I wonder how long those blades stay sharp. IN a few months time your food might come up more like mush than properly cut cubes. Additionally, if you're lazy and don't clean it properly old bit of food might get caught in the top part.

Buy a chef's knife and practice a few different cutting styles and you'd probably be better off in the long run. I started using a chef's knife properly at the beginning of this year and now I can basically dice, chop, julienne, etc. everything. Plus a knife is easier to keep clean and sharp.

But, if you have no interest in learning knife skills, this product is probably good enough.

That sums it up!

For me, there is something very satisfying about being able to use a knife, almost any knife (although, I would argue you really only need about 3* for day-to-day tasks) to cut any food into any style you need.

It is kind of like being able to be diagnose and remedy tech issues: it's a skill I think everyone should have.

*my 3 knives are: a chefs knife, a paring knife, and a serrated (bread) knife. You might need other, specialised knives live a cleaver or a boning knife if you intend to buy meat in bulk and chop it up yourself.
