Where to buy THIS usb repeater?

Recommended Posts

Need to know where to buy this cable outside the UK (I'm from the US) in order to avoid heavy shipping charges and preferrably pay less for the actual cord itself:

(Grand total came out to $65)

It's USB  "Y" cable (1 male + 1 male = extra power?) that has a "repeater" on the female end (CONSISTENT EXTRA POWER over 5m lengths).  Normally these Y cables are about 6 inches or so and they don't have a repeater (normally used for charging tablets). See, I'm STILL trying to feed more power into my Razer Mamba's dock which sits on the Coffee Table.  I'm hoping this is my final solution!

The dock requires 5V 450mA, but the specs on that cord quite confuse me... will it work? or will I end up frying the dock?

Here's what the setup looks like

Does Amazon or Ebay not have these listed on their US sites?

Failing that, some Hong Kong and Chinese Sellers?

(I bought my cat6 cables from a Hong Kong seller and didn't have to pay an extortionate shipping/customs tax)

(Alternatively, There are some Mains Powered USB Hubs that would also do the trick, I have one in my living room to charge various electronics for some years now, not had any trouble with it, Similar to this one but mine's a 7 port model   http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trust-Port-Usb-2-0-Power/dp/B001UE6OC8 never fried anything *touch wood*)

Hi thanks for the reply. I tried a hub setup once, but it didn't work out as I expected. The power cord was just in the way (tried hiding it under remnants) but the kids or cats would always mess them up.  At least with the repeater, it's 1 cord going under the actual carpet directly to the PC.  :)

Amazon and Ebay definitely didn't have them, but one site called Alibaba had them (minimum order of 100 pieces). That's almost discouraging :/

Hi folks, thanks again, but those are like the one I was previously using.  The new one is a  Y cable which I'm wanting to try in comparison to the non Y cable type (to see if the extra USB head is enough to supply enough power).

If I can't find it, the USB 3.0 repeater might be my next attempt :) Thanks HUM
