MS is now releasing build 12400 of Windows Phone 8.1 OS preview.

Recommended Posts

Microsoft has thrown the switch on a new release of the Preview for Developers and Windows Phone 8.1(/windows-phone-81). Starting at 1 PM ET, those who are enrolled in the free Preview for Developers program are receiving build 12400 of the OS, which is a small jump from the previous 12397 build. Currently, it is not known what changes are brought with the latest release, though it is most likely fixes for stability and other optimizations.

The update is 21 MB in size.

isn't the final rolling out now ? how does that affect those of us still waiting for cyan ? will it grab this, and then ignore the official cyan upgrade andwe'll be stuck on a beta without the cyan firmware upgrades for increased stability and other functions ?

I just ran a check and it told me there was no update available, I am currently running the Dev Preview.

I don't know how this effects Cyan because I have an 8X.  So far I've noticed that these updates go in order, so I'm thinking you get whatever 8.1 build is out before Cyan, then Cyan and then maybe 12400 but this is just my guess.

Just checked here in Honduras and also still nothing

I'm also using the dev preview

I'm installing it right now on my HTC 8X, in Greece.   People should start to see it more and more I'm sure.

Bet this fixes the bitlocker issue.

I forgot about that, it could be a quick fix for that one.
