I know this year subscribers no longer have the ability to edit their posts forever. I was wondering, however if maybe it would be possible to give the ability to edit just the 1st post of threads the subscribers has created as well as the title of the thread.

I could care less about editing posts I created. But the 1st posts of thread's I created as well as the title would be nice.

That would also limited the amount of "Damage" a member could do which got us in this situation to begin with.

Plus this would also reduce the burden on the mods.

What you're requesting was the whole reason it was disabled, because a couple of members actually blanked out popular posts over a few days. I'd love to allow it, but not when it gets abused.

Maybe it could be changed so that you can only edit 1 post per hour, and maybe x amount of posts per day.

Any shenanigans could be easily spotted then, right?

I have to admit, I didn't actually make it, I just stole it from google images and liked the fact it made very little sense. Seemed to match most of my posts on here :)

I could care less about editing posts...

I bet you could...

On a more serious note, i can see this being abused somewhat. Maybe for subscribers who've got a certain reputation or a blemish free record.

Unfortunately even that doesn't work when you consider an ex-staff member did it too (in the Veteran group, although not anymore) :p There are other ways to failsafe it, but it requires a bit of work.
