Rename or Label each drive windows 8.1 and windows 7, or , like previous poster said you could unmount it, or disable the win 7 ssd drive in device manager, it wont show up then and you can do the same under win 7, disable the win 8.1 ssd drive in device manager.

Run gpedit.msc as administrator. Find the following:

User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > File Explorer > Hide these specified drives in My Computer. Enable and select the appropriate drive.

You can launch gpedit.msc from the Start Screen by just typing it in and hitting CTRL + Shift + Enter, or right-clicking on the entry and hitting Run as Administrator. Here's what will come up.

*shudder*

I know this isn't the answer you're after, but personally, after doing it for well over a decade, I've abandoned the whole idea of multi-booting altogether.

If you're trying to hide the partition to prevent access (accidental or otherwise), use VMs and never look back.  Much more practical.

Windows Key + R > diskmgmt.msc > Right Click Drive or Partition You Want To Hide > "Change Drive Letter and Paths" > Remove

Changing group policy to hide the drives seems a bit pointless where you could reuse the letters in future if you want to.
