We reported yesterday that OS X 10.10 public beta would be available today, and Apple has now started sending out its beta invitations to the public for OS X Yosemite. The beta is only open to the first one million people who sign up and if you have not done so yet, you can get your name on the list here.
Invitations will arrive in your inbox and will provide you with the instructions on how to download the beta. The build is said to be one version newer than what has been released in the dev channel but we don't yet know what bugs, if any, were fixed in the latest version of the OS.
With that caveat, we have been using the most recent developer preview for a few days and it is stable. There are a few graphical bugs here and there and occasionally an app will lock up, but for the most part, it runs quite well.
