Until Dawn, The Unfinished Swan, and Journey Confirmed for PS4

All three will be at Gamescom next month.

Ahead of Gamescom, Sony revealed a list of playable games for the convention and let word slip that Until Dawn, The Unfinished Swan, and Journey are heading to PlayStation 4 in the process.

The list of playable PlayStation 4 games has since been removed from Sony's Gamescom website, but a NeoGAF user posted the full slate of titles before that happened. Until Dawn, The Unfinished Swan, and Journey stand out, as they previously hadn't been confirmed for PlayStation 4.

However, two of those titles had been rumored for PlayStation 4 previously. Earlier this year, reports surfaced that Until Dawn development transitioned from the PlayStation 3 to Sony's newest home console. In addition, Sony executive Shuhei Yoshida said that Until Dawn would make a "good fit" for Project Morpheus, further hinting at the horror title's move to PlayStation 4.

Without any mention of Until Dawn at E3, Gamescom makes a lot of sense for a re-reveal of the horror game, especially since developer Supermassive Games is a European studio. For more info, be sure to check out IGN's first look with the PlayStation Move-enabled title.

As for The Unfinished Swan, a Korean ratings board outed that the Giant Sparrow-developed downloadable game was coming to PlayStation 4 last week. Nominated for IGN's Game of the Year in 2012, the first-person puzzle game was delivered late and way over budget. But that didn't stop fans or us from loving The Unfinished Swan.

Finally, fan-favorite Journey is making its way to PlayStation 4. The emotional and uplifting game received a 9.0 rating from IGN when it came out in 2012, which makes it a welcomed addition on Sony's newest home console.

Great another game i have played before.

I'm with Complex, i hope this isn't a remake/hd console.

I understood it last generation with the remakes because the consoles before them were not hd.

If they want to release all these "hd" remasters. They should have invested more time in making the consoles backwards compatible.

They're doing it for two reasons. To plug the gap while other new games are being made and also for the benefit of those who didn't own a ps3 last gen.

Although I did briefly own a PS3 I didn't play many games on it, mostly gamed on the 360, so I'm grateful for things like Journey that were so highly reviewed I'll get to play this time around.

As long as it is not taking the place of developing new games then I'm all for it.
