From one topic here i learned that authors problem is caused probably by CPU so i want to ask if you can help me simillar way. I already did memtest few times but with no errors. I tested GPU for overheating but also no problem there. I keep my drivers up to date but it dont help at all. I reinstalled Windows few times but also no change. Can you please help me? vcfan
the minidump doesnt show the hal.dll fault that you have in your title, BUT it does show that your AMD CPU is reporting a hardware fault. few suggestions. 1. Update BIOS to the latest 2.Make sure memory timings and voltages are set correctly. 3.Are you overclocking? Regardless, check your CPU temps. You might want to reseat the CPU,re apply thermal paste and make sure your cooler is anchored correctly. 4.If none of the suggestions work, start increasing your CPU voltage little by little and see if this has any effect. John.D
This stop error is cpu related and can mean the L2 cache / or cache, or the CPU itself is faulty. Or it maybe overheating. It's not overclocked is it?
Lades
I forgot to write that after every crash like this, there is WHEA-Logger message in event viewer. A fatal hardware error has occurred. Component: AMD Northbridge Error Source: Machine Check Exception Error Type: HyperTransport Watchdog Timeout Error Processor ID: 0 The details view of this entry contains further information.I dont know if that help with it

John.D
I would say it's still a faulty CPU. Check the motherboard for leaking capacitors too
Lades
im not expert....i checked every single capacitor and i think they are all normal....
Tews
whocrashed You will need WnDbg... Whocrashed gives only the bare minimum needed. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/windows/hardware/ff551063(v=vs.85).aspx

Whocrashed gives only the bare minimum needed. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/windows/hardware/ff551063(v=vs.85).aspx I mentioned whocrashed for a reason. Take a look @ his posts in this thread - he does not have any experience in this stuff - whocrashed is easy and non-complicated for the layman
Tews
All right, whocrashed is specificly blaming HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) as the offending process, and probably a 0x124 stop error which is a general hardware stop, which is not even mentioned in whocrashed. I know that while the OP lacks the needed skills to read the .dmp file but, I would bet a picture of Andrea Norman that there is a member of the Neowin community who can :) T3X4S 1 Share

Hum
1. Update BIOS to the latest I have no idea how to update BIOS 2.Make sure memory timings and voltages are set correctly. You might want to reseat the CPU,re apply thermal paste and make sure your cooler is anchored correctly. Im not overclocking, never tried it Find out your motherboard name and model number. Go to the motherboard manufacturer's web site, go to Support.. If you post your MB details here, we can help you. You download the correct .bin file for your board. You may be able to update from Windows, or have to from 'DOS' mode. You need some BIOS flash program. You could try removing the CPU, scrape off the thermal paste, and reapply new. http://www.amazon.com/Arctic-Silver-Thermal-Compound-Grams/dp/B000OGX5AM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406715646&sr=8-1&keywords=arctic+silver+5 You may try replacing the CPU fan as well. Get a friend to help, if you are inexperienced. I don't think it would be a bad idea to price check a new CPU, depending on what you can afford. You go into BIOS settings, usually pressing F2 at boot-up, yours may be different. You should read your motherboard manual, or download it from the manufactuer's web site. Your 'overclocking'/timings should be set to Auto.

My MB: MSI 880GM-E41 Apparently there is a Live update program for your set-up: http://www.msi.com/page/live-update-5-manual Download Live Update 6 Follow instructions. It may tell you that the BIOS is the latest. "There are two ways to flash BIOS. Default setting is [in Windows mode], and click [Next] to finish BIOS update."
