Brandon H Supervisor Posted July 30, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted July 30, 2014 and which AV use instead of it? Windows Defender isn't horrible on Win8+ (or MSE on 7) otherwise 360 Internet Security or Avira are my 2 current recommendations for free antivirus as of late

PGHammer
Security Essentials should do just fine, how is the system running now, have u tried a game? I use a combo of WD+Malwarebytes (8.1 update 1) and recommend MSE+Malwarebytes on 7 or earlier. The tag-team takes down all garden-variety in-the-wild virii and malware (especially those drive-by malware and crapware plug-ins) for a total cost of nothing.
