That was a very short beta period. The more people they can get on the service the better I guess.

There's not a lot they need to change infrastructure wise. Essentially all of it is in place for buying games digitally. All they needed to test was the subscription side of things.

Every game in EA's on-demand service will always be in supply

So you're excited about the prospect of paying one low fee for all-you-can-eat, erm, access to a swath of Electronic Arts' games on Xbox One, yeah? Well the outfit has a few new details that might make its EA Access service a bit more enticing. For starters, any games on tap in "the Vault" won't disappear once they've been added. That means that Battlefield 4, Madden 25, Peggle 2 and FIFA 14 from the beta aren't going anywhere, EA's COO Peter Moore tells CVG. He also says that additional AAA games will be en route, but that EA hasn't quite figured out the specifics of when just yet. Moore notes that the Vault's catalog will be "substantial" and that new, permanent, additions to it will be determined based on franchise and timing. "We have to make decisions along that way, so there's no template, like 30 days after a game ships it goes into the Vault," he says. Could EA be preparing the Vault for Titanfall? We'll have to wait and see.

Looking like an even better deal every day.

Erm, not shooting the messenger but that contradicts what they EA help pages state here

"...and we currently have no plans to remove any game from The Vault, but we might not be able to keep games in The Vault forever"

But if we start getting games in the Vault 30 days after release I'll be very happy.

It's possible their intentions are to keep them in the Vault forever, but there are things that could be out of their control. Perhaps an IP license changes hands or something of that sort and their forced to pull a game, etc.

Typical legal wording and thoughts to cover their company down the road. Steam even has similar topics and wording for the items you bought not always being available, etc.

Sounds better to me, once it's grown more with even newer games and so on then the deal just gets better and better.  I see this working out for EA in the long run, and MS by extension.  After this I don't see how other big publishers don't jump on and try the same model, I'm ready for that Ubisoft sub, if the price is the same.

My only "concern" about this is the price.  It seems to me that the price is just too good to be true and I wonder if they will raise it after if goes out of beta.

I can get the hub app to show in the store by going to the xbox preview app,and doing the ea access quest, but the app says unavailable and I cant redownload it. Microsoft says talk to ea,and ea says talk to Microsoft.

If you go to my games and apps, it's no longer in the apps section?...

Odd that it would just vanish...

^ Exactly.

This a win-win for consumer/EA. For EA you get a steady income revenue stream where you understand based on solid numbers due to subscription. You get consumers trying out games 5 days early for free which will entice more people to purchase the full-game and pro for consumer due to it being a free full game for 5 days. You've also got the discounts and vault which comes in with it which is hardly a hit for EA but entices consumers. Especially micro transactions like in PvZ which cost them nothing.
