Recover space on my usb stick..

Hy. Just tested my RAM with memtest86 which required to boot from my usb stick.. after all ok I see that real space it's pretty "lost".. how can I recover those 30.13gb ?

Open CMD as admin.

 

> diskpart

> list disk

> select disk x (where x = the number of your USB drive in the list)

> clean

> exit

> exit

 

Then unplug stick and replug it, and you should be able to create a new, fullsize partition from Device Manager. Make sure you select the right disk, as clean just plain wipes out the partition table and MBR/GPT without asking for confirmation.

Curious how you got your usb stick to be like that in the first place? What did you use to format it so you could run memtest? What is installed on it.

As to having more than 1 partition on a stick - here http://www.rmprepusb.com/tutorials/multipartufd

You can have windows see whatever of the 4 partitions you want it to see.

"diskpart did the job!"

What memtest - something that came from your maker of your PC/Laptop - or something you downloaded?

Other option would be to highlight that current partition of 99mb and expand it - might have to use 3rd party tools.
