SlayerS_BoxeR
whether i try cmd+tab or pressing shift altogether, the screen/app does not pop up on the screen. is this a bug or a config that i have to set up?
allannyholm
It's a terrible implementation; the CMD+TAB on OS X - You'll have to Command + Tab as usual. But when you've reached the app you want you let go of Tab-key and press Alt(Option) - While still holding down Command-key. It'll bring the window forward if hidden or closed using Command+W. Your hand and fingers won't love you for it though.

allannyholm
damn it's crap!! so you can't customize this under shortkey settings? No, that's the way it is - I doubt it's ever going to change. Luckily there's an Alt/Option key on both sides of the Spacebar so that the hand and fingers won't get all awkward while attempting to do the keyboard dance. But I think, not certain, that this application called Witch by www.manytricks.com - direct URL is http://manytricks.com/witch/ could probably do a better job than Command+Tab. There's a whole section on their website that's called "Replace Command-Tab"
allannyholm
I didn't want to bring up an old thread if it wasn't for the fact that I hav e something to bring to the table. There's now a way to have CMD+Tab to bring the selected application to front without having to place multiple fingers on the keyboard - the app I use now is called HyperSwitch, link here: https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/41769/hyperswitch By the same author that makes HyperDock.
