The link the you've provided doesn't seem to explain very much (and it also links to page 10 rather than page one, but that's another matter.) Care to explain what it's all about?

OnePlus? One? Is that a phone manufacturer and one of their device models?

No way, no until they sort out their production woes with the current one... We don't need another invite system   to just create hype and no widespread launch :(

Fixed. BTW Neowin has been running articles on the One Plus One:

Ah, cheers. Just because I'm around Neowin a lot doesn't mean I manage to catch every article. ;)

Well, as one of the first replies on the thread that you link to says, I'm not a Windows Phone user so for me a phone that comes with CyanogenMod would already be preferable. But I would say they should wait and see how it goes with their initial direction, and then see if there is enough interest on a WP variant.

It would be great if they did. It would also be great if Apple allowed other companies to market ios. There will always be a needfor high end phones like iphones. Im glad ios is getting Firefox soon

I just don't understand why so many people would say no, as long as it doesn't cost them anything to license it.

Because you still have to write firmware/drivers, QC, and implement customer support for those phones, all at the risk of it not selling.

Licensing is only one of many costs involved.  And every Windows Phone made is an Android phone that didn't get made, so again, if it's not selling, they're wasting materials, time, and production capacity.

I love WP as much as the next guy but I also understand why companies might not want to sell them.

I think they call that depressed, not yet suicidal!

Meaning, building a windows phone is usually a money looser.

OK, but not for Nokia... Also the carriers are part of the problem (actually a LARGE part of the problem), I take it that you don't like WP? Why?

After the various innovative ways they have managed to mess up the launch of their Android phone, I am not really interested them anymore. They are welcome to make one though.

To be honest, I don't know why anyone bothers with this company anymore. The invite system was atrocious, I wanted to give them my money but they wouldn't take it without an invite. Terrible customer service, they have now moved to a new team to develop their android fork; they need to iron out their purchasing system before thinking about putting out an windows phone

exactly, they had silly gimmicks people had to jump through to GIVE THEM MONEY. It made no business sense. Smash your current phone promo, women first promo, invite only, invites given out randomly and not very often, sign up to their forums and post a lot to get an invite, etc etc. I mean literally for months I wanted to give them my money but never could get an invite and really stopped trying to get one after hearing about the horrible customer service and lack luster cyanogenmod.

They wont be, the team is now made up of ParanoidAndroid developers, the new OS is called Oxygen and Cyanogen Inc (different from cyanogenmod) is no longer involved.
