Edit MSI File & Repackage

Hi,

What i want to do:
- edit msi file
- add 1 registry file and replacing 2 image files

- rename the product name
 

What is the best method to do this, i have been breaking my head to do this with various tools, but no success.

Help needed.

I suppose you would need some sort of MSI to XML converter which will strip it all apart so that you can edit the contents, and then you will just need PACE or any similar application to put it all back together again.

 

I am intentionally being vague as what you are trying to do could very easily be illegal if you do not own the copyrights to the MSI you are messing with (and if you did you wouldnt need help)

I have the rights to edit the msi file, as the company who supplied to me have told me that they would take more than 30 days to do this work. (i will send more details as a message to you).
