fintechfooty
Okay so pretty much I have an interest in both software and hardware development. I understand software development and how I can literally start developing an application right away, but I have no idea how to get started in the physical development of things like the GPU or the CPU and I want to get a good understanding of the electrical circuitry etc. Would you guys recommend something like the Arduino or Rasberry Pi? Also is there a book or something I could almost get a head start on from whatever time I have remaining from summer? Thanks!
xendrome
Hacking existing hardware is nothing near hardware development.
fintechfooty
Thanks. Do you have anything helpful such as a book or a place I can start? Look I'm not scared of spending 3 years reading college textbooks.

Andre S. Veteran Posted August 8, 2014 Veteran Share Posted August 8, 2014 Look into VHDL tutorials perhaps. I'm really not a hardware guy but we did some of that in uni, IIRC...
