AdamXP
i had this problem 2, the solution was.... 1. Shutdown The PC 2. Open Up The Case 3. Remove The GeForce 4. Put Something Else In (NON-NVIDIA CHIPSET) 5. Install XP 6. After Installlation, Shutdown 7. Open Up The Case Again 8. Re-Install the GeForce 9. Start The PC Up 10. Install The GeForce Drivers. thats how i done it :), but now i put an Abit Siloru, it has an nvidia chipset, but xp has the drivers for it :)
Keldyn
Had this same problem with Win2kPro. I just swapped out my Geforce for an old card i had laying about and it went flawlessly. Reinstalled my Geforce once Win2k was up and running. Oh and i dont really think it has to be a non nvidia chipset. I have old tnt2's installed in some of my test machines and have never had any troubles installing XP on any of them. Anywho, its simple, but a hassle i know. :ermm: Greetz
