Nicolas_43
Hello. I'm about to create a Microsoft Account on my Windows Phone with the "keep your life sync" wizard, but when I reach to the "enter your username" step, the sufix @live.com appears. Won't this cause some issue since MS doesn't offer live.com addresses anymore? Thanks.
eddman
I'd say create one on your computer to be on the safe side, then sign in with that on your phone. I never created one on the phone itself and it's odd to see an @live option. What make and model is it? DConnell 1 Share

Weird that I don't have Call+SMS filter and the update apps doesn't appear on Store. But it's safe to create the account via WP's Internet Explorer? eddman
Weird that I don't have Call+SMS filter and the update apps doesn't appear on Store. See if you can install it through the store link: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/call-sms-filter/c459945b-d93f-4aae-9207-c6ab1d971357 Wait a day or two and the updates for built-in nokia modules will show up. If you have a wi-fi hotspot at home, make sure to connect to it too. Sometimes updates don't show up on mobile data. You can also try this: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/sysapp-pusher/19d44d9e-f18e-4df1-9bce-36335242ed2e WP8.1 has an option to manually check for app updates. But it's safe to create the account via WP's Internet Explorer? If it gives an @outlook or @hotmail option, then yes.

If it gives an @outlook or @hotmail option, then yes. I typed an username now and after the availability check, the password step appeared. Isn't this strange? And if MS automatically renames from "live" to "outlook" when the signup is finished? Also I searched and discovered that the lack of updates is related to date+time. The solution consists in deactivating "update date+time automatically".
