TORONTO ? A Utah teen who died from injuries she sustained after her sister accidentally backed a pick-up truck over her while she sunbathed in the driveway is being remembered as vibrant and full of life.

 

Marli Hamblin, 15, was wearing headphones and laying on a blanket on the driveway of her home Friday when her elder sister, unaware that her sibling was there, backed up over the girl?s head.

 

?It?s not an easy case for everybody involved?the officers, firemen, the paramedics,? said Erin Behm of the Syracuse Police Department in an interview with KUTV shortly after the tragic incident Friday afternoon.  ?You can imagine, it was tragic.?

The teen was rushed to hospital and spent two days in a medically-induced coma before passing away Sunday.

 

In an interview with Fox 13 Monday, the victim?s  mother, Lisa Hamblin, said her daughter was about to start school at Syracuse High as a member of the cheerleading squad and was remembered by her peers as ?always smiling.?

 

?I was just amazed. They all said she was their role model and her smile made their day, just always happy and friendly to everybody,? she said.

So sad. You must always check behind the car before going backward from still in a driveway.

No actually gotta check for young kids. Always. Don't ****** tell me you don't check behind the car before entering it and going backward? really?

They were both at fault:

Check for any obstruction of your vehicle before entering vehicle.

Don't sunbathe on an active driveway with earphones on.

Wow...I can not imagine how distraught the older sister must be right now...and she will have to live with this for the rest of her life.  Feel so bad for her and the family...a very tragic accident.  :(

Relax. neither of you knew this dumb girl. Maybe just maybe warwagon is even more hurt over this than you, and the only way he can cope is to make jokes.

 

 

Good news though: Now she's in heaven, shining down on us, giving us all tans :P

Thanks! Well fact of the mater is I didn't know her at all. So i'm not going to get all depressed after hearing a girl just killed her 15 year old sister by running her head over with a truck.  First hearing about robin Williams and now this, I refuse to get to depressed about anything of this.

 

 Really pathetic, warwagon, sometimes you just go too far.  IMO

 

As for going to far ... i'm guessing you probably wouldn't like the stuff I hold back and never post..

 

That being said ... I've made it my mission to post on Facebook if I ever get a brain tumor.
