Hi there,

Trying to setup Untangle Firewall in HyperV but it won't find my network card, it only boots as Gen 1 and not Gen 2, any ideas...? Google doesn't have much on this either.

What model server? What model NICS? Are you installing from the ISO or did you download a VHD?

Host OS is Windows 8.1

Untangle NG Firewall (ISO)

Virtual External Switch connecting to the host NIC - Realtek PCIe GBE

Hope this helps.

Where did you see that untangle is supported on hyper-v?  I see a writeup on installing on esxi/vmware but do not see anything about running on hyper-v

http://wiki.untangle...iance_on_VMware

This thread seems to show that the drivers are not there based on what untangle runs on

"Untangle 10 is based on Debian Squeeze, and the drivers for the native NICs in Hyper-V aren't present until Debian Wheezy"

So I don't think it is supported as of yet to be honest..
