Need two more fans for intake/exhaust on the case. Currently I'm using two shark fans on my side panel and two Silverstones front/back. I'm going to replace the stones because the sharks are a lot quieter at 7V, move about the same amount of air from what I can feel and look cool spinning or not. But then I found about the Cougars! A lot of people seem to like those and I kind of do too because of that blade design. I call it unique compared to other 9-bladed fans. Both the Sharks and Cougars have fluid bearings and move around the same amount of air (according to the specs) but I do realize buying four Cougars will end up costing more than simply buying two more Sharks. :/

TL;DR: Which one is the better fan? Cougar or Shark?

I would always go Noctua, but that's me.

Out of those two, I would get the Cougar.

Does it really matter ?

Yep. Because it feels weird not having them all the same. Not knowing if they're working together or against each other. I'm going to check out the Noctua fans now. But probably will still buy the sharks because that would cost less. :D

I suggest NoiseBlocker: eloop http://www.blacknoise.com/site/en/products/noiseblocker-it-fans/nb-eloop-series/120x120x25mm.php?lang=EN or BlackSilent http://www.blacknoise.com/site/en/products/noiseblocker-it-fans/nb-blacksilent-pro-series/120x120x25mm.php

If You are looking for high class silent fans then NB is on top, I use eLoop and those fans are extremely silent and effective :)
