DrJohnSmitherson
Hey all, My PC is no longer turning on. It was on a little more than a week ago. I moved into a new house and the PC hasn't been on for a week and now it won't turn on. Other devices get power from the outlet that it's in. I tried the PSU switch in different positions. I tried different power cables. I have the ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 mobo with a power button on the motherboard. Clicking it does nothing. What would be the best way to find out if it's the psu or the motherboard?
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted August 18, 2014 Moderator Share Posted August 18, 2014 Check all connections. It is possible the 24-pin or 4/8-pin cable got loose.
DrJohnSmitherson
I unplugged everything except the power cable and it powered on! I'll try and figure out what's going on

An_Englishman
Check if there's power coming from the PSU. Read Part 1 of this Wiki-How guide. - Sorry, just noticed you've got it powered up - my mistake.
