Don't get me wrong, it would be nice we used the best of the best, but the situation currently calls for any response. Seeing as Europe is just as capable, and has more to lose, I believe they should lead. We have no reason to lead even if we are the most capable. We need to quit wasting our money and our lives to save others asses.

What does that have anything to do with anything?

For america it's working out well, unless we decide to lead and lose more lives and money... which is what changed.

There's your mistake, Europe is NOT just as capable as the US. Not even close.

The US has logistical, communications and tactical capabilities Europe does not have. Fact is, for many of these capabilities Europe depends on the US which is why they pushed the US so hard to get involved in Libya, and more recently Syria.

Absent those capabilities your argument self-disassembles.

Enough is enough. We are going to collapse as a nation if we do not stop the perpetual war machine. I don't care if our military is more capable. It's time we stopped footing the bill.

He basically said the war isn't winnable without America, so... I don't know, maybe we should just go in there, spend trillions on controlling every aspect of the middle east, and let ourselves fall apart to protect... Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc... Since you know, no one has a chance at winning without the US... unless you are their enemy, then all of a sudden your lack of American logistical, communications and tactical capabilities is somewhat of an advantage that only America can suppress.

If you can't figure it out, do everyone a favor and abstain from voting... forever.

Please, do elaborate. I want to know what false information you are going to spout at me to dismiss with facts.

Irrelevant now - it's started, and absent a meteor strike on ISIS headquarters mission creep is inevitable
