Recommend me best small (<300MB) games on GOG or steam

Recommended Posts

I have terrible connection to internet right now (though phone)

I want to play a new game (I only like steam or gog, or direct from the developers website)

platformer (shovel knight and rogue legacy i already have)

adventure!    (possibly RPG, if it is not too long, and easy to get into)

fps (i am not sure there are good ones at this size...?)

No strategy, simulation or sports please (some aspect ok but only together with adventure/rpg background)

i want to play a game for next few days, until i have my full connection restored, so i can watch tv and movies again.

does not matter which year the game was made, but it has to run on Windows 8.1 (i think all steam or GOG releases do so anyway, no?)

a good fun/wacky RPG that i like to play every now & then is "cthulhu saves the world"

it's fairly small and is available on steam, not sure but should be on gog as well

Braid,  played

Spelunky, ...

Broforce, ...

The Binding of Isaac, played

Super Meat Boy, played, too frustarting

Limbo, played, amazing

Hotline Miami, played

Crypt of the NecroDancer, not sure about this one...

Doom 1-2, played so many times it is not even funny

Quake 1-2 played so many times it is not even funny

so basically  broforce and Spelunky

i don't usually like random generated levels (though rouge legacy was pretty fun for a while)

gonna go check out broforce!

Go play Zelda: Ocarina of time.

i spend weeks playing it on N64 already when it came out. i loved it.

however, i am looking for PC game?   you mean emulator?

i also finished it before, so it will be a replay. surprisingly i remember quite a bit of it, as the the time, it made quite an impression on me.

(together with mario 64 those are the only game i vividly remember from N64... though i played very many others)

If you don't have the game + console...yeah! on the N64 side: i do remember playing Goldeneye, Star Wars as well...good fun.

We should make this an official thread for games under 300MB, especially with all the focus on multigig games. Some good games you guys listed, I'll have to think of some that I use to play.

Valdis Story 514MB (highly recommended snes style action rpg)

To The Moon 103MB (short but good story driven rpg)

Terraria 63MB (addictive sandbox game)

Super Meat Boy 262MB (fun but not sure it's more a game i would play on a portable device on the bus)

Spelunky 273MB (okay but not as good as Rogue Legacy imo)

Rogue Legacy 321MB

Risk of Rain 104MB (gfx ugly but really fun rogue game)
Limbo 98MB (awesome but short)

Legend of Grimrock 720MB (over your limit but really really good game for the size)

Gunpoint 648MB (cool game but repetitive a little bit)

Guacamelee 721MB (really awesome)

Faster than light 198MB (if you like space strategy it's a must)

FEZ 535MB (cool but you become lost fast in this game)

Bastion 863MB (TOTALLY WORTH IT BETTER GET THIS GAME THAT 3 OTHER GAMES)

Note that this is the install size on HD the download will likely be a little bit smaller.

If you're going for Another World ya gotta go for Flashback and Fade to Black, too! :)

Flashback was such an awesome game.

Is broforce good single player? i am leaning towards that, over spelunky

Don't think so anyway not from the video i've seen. Risk of rain is under rated imo if you liked Rogue Legacy you should like it.
