Apple Releases Second OS X Yosemite Public Beta, iTunes 12 Update

Apple today released the second Yosemite public beta for beta testers, following the release of the sixth Developer Preview earlier this week. Apple has also released a new version of iTunes 12 for Yosemite.

The software update, build 14A329r, can be downloaded through the software update function of the Mac App Store.

It's likely the new public beta bundles the content introduced in the last several developer updates, including multiple design changes added with DP 6. The last beta included new wallpapers, a new System Preferences design, a translucent dashboard, several icon updates, and more.

Apple is expected to release OS X Yosemite to the general public later this year, possibly following an October event that may also introduce both the iWatch and new iPads.

Any where I can get a list of changes from this beta? I thought I might have missed it during the install some where. Also does anyone know how to get the older icons look back?

You can likely copy the app icons from Mavericks and then manually replace them in Yosemite.

Does anyone notice any obvious changes to iTunes 12? It seems similar to the last beta release.

So weird, I just can't get this update to actually show on my Mac. Even via Terminal:

Chris-MacBook-Pro:~ cpressland$ sudo softwareupdate -l
Password:
Software Update Tool
Copyright 2002-2012 Apple Inc.

Finding available software
No new software available.

Installed PB2

1. Wireless settings UI glitch is fixed

2. Windows resizing and fullscreen bugs gone.

3. Continuity working better.

4. Little laggy compared to PB1

Overall it's now almost as good os RTM and can be used as daily driver.

They seem to have fixed an issue with Safari crashing as I was crashing once a day, but now Safari feels a lot smoother and no crashes! :)

Safari got worse for me. Its completely unusable. I had to install Firefox just to have another browser. I had to sneaker net it over from another Mac just to install it.
