Windows XP Machine Wont Boot Without Help

Here is what I would do in your situation.  Replace the computer if it is a computer that needs to be used, setup a vmware box and migrate the failing computer to vmware.  Have the user "remote in" to do what they need.  Sure they will have to buy 2 computers, but their application will be safe for a long time to come.
