Joe Danger (PS Vita)

Take Joe on a ride from zero to hero in a game that lives up to its big brother with no compromises. Eye-popping super-smooth 60FPS graphics use only the very brightest colours on Vita?s lovely screen, and we?ve revamped the JD control scheme so it plays just as nicely, too, including touch controls for the editor modes!

TxK (PS Vita)

Glowing vectors, explosive particle effects and a pulse-pounding soundtrack are core elements of many modern arcade shooters ? a style that Llamasoft defined with its seminal 90s tube shooter. TxK is the spiritual successor to that genre-defining work and brings you 100 levels of engrossing score-chasing gameplay, married to an outstanding soundtrack that will have your head nodding as you blast your way onto the scoreboards.

Can't wait for JD on Vita :woot:

Heard a lot of good things about TxK too so looking forward to trying that.

Velocity 2X looks great as well. Strong month for me :) (Y)

I think this is one of the weaker line-ups personally.

PS4 and Vita are fine but I expect an older AAA PS3 title and there's nothing here.

Still overall VERY happy with the PlayStation Plus program and I'm sure these games are great fun but it just seems like a weaker month.

With any luck PS4 Minecraft will be out in Sept though and who can forget Destiny so it should be a big month overall... at least as far as summer months go.

i wouldn't count on that. the devs apparently ran into some kind of snag that has put an indefinite hold on the game release :/

Looks like fun games. And they're free. Not sure what everyone is complaining about.

Well, they aren't really free. I mean it's part of the subscription service & one of the reasons people buy into it.

Where do you get that from?

The devs submitted it to Sony on Aug. 12th.

Sony rejected it on Aug. 20th.

They resubmitted it on Aug. 26th. which was just 3 days ago.  I haven't seen anything about the second submission being rejected and certainly nothing to indicate there is an "indefinite hold on the game."

I suspect it will release Sept. 9th since Sony releases on Tuesdays... the 2nd might be too soon and the holiday here in the U.S. might be an issue.

They need to start bringing out PS4 games to PS+ which aren't indies.

That's not going to happen anytime soon.  AAA titles take years to develop and they're struggling to get them out period, they aren't going to give them away for "free".  Heck most of the games coming out even now are still remakes or cross-gen.  If they released a AAA title every month for the PS4 since it launched you're probably have every major PS4 game released so far and no reason to buy any games at all.  What we should be getting though is quality older AAA PS3 titles though and they've done pretty well with that but this month not so much.

Killzone Shadow Fall will probably make an appearance once Destiny launches to keep the MP going.

I don't think Knack will be far off either.

Tbh the indies we are getting are probably better than what retail titles they could give us just now :/ (from a review perspective).

I'm not into indies, regardless of how well they score in reviews. Actually trials fusion was good but apart from that haven't really gotten into any others.

I'm hoping knack is first, I played it in store and it seems like a fun game. But I think your right about Killzone because of the MP. Cause if someone wants to buy a months PS+ just to get Killzone for free than they can play MP and hopefully like it extending their PS+ subscription further.

Personally, I'm going to miss the indies once they start retail games.

It'll be up to the Vita selection to pick up where they left off, so hopefully the boost they've had will continue and encourage more ports, devs and cross-buys.

Isn't DriveClub still set to be released on PS+ this year?
