DeltaXray Posted August 31, 2014 Share Posted August 31, 2014 So after being a long time mac user I have been persuaded back over to the dark side by a surface pro 3. One thing that has been perplexing me is whenever I use Metro IE11 I immediately get around 50% CPU utilisation, but this does not happen with Classic (desktop) IE11. Literally if I snap desktop to half the screen and have perfmon open and then open Metro IE11 I can see CPU spike up and hovers between 40-55%. To eliminate it being anything a web page is doing if I close the open tab and just leave it there on the blank New Tab page it still sits at the same high utilization. Is anyone else finding this with IE11? Bearing in mind I've installed pretty much nothing else on this yet so is still pretty much a default build.
