the start of something like the free play day with gold, you know that thing that showed up a few weeks back and Microsoft called an error?

If they do start doing this then it's another good perk to having Gold, they just need to offer a good selection of games if they start it.

WOW... This is very good news.  I'm not a car enthusiast at all.  But I sure will give this a try for a few days.

Microsoft is learning very quickly.  Taking the best of PSN, Steam, and mixing it with Microsoft's products is proving to be very beneficial for us gamers.

On another note:

I gonna go ahead and pull out the stick, and beat the dead horse.  I really wish we could of seen Microsoft/Xbox original vision in the wild.

Don Mattrick people skills may have sucked big time.  But now I agree with him 1000% instead of 100%.

Well, technically what MS said about the "free day with gold" was correct, it was wrong, because now we don't have just a free day but a free weekend, and that's not just Friday to Sunday either, with FM5 it starts today, Thursday.

It's definitely a good idea. I know I'd be more likely to buy games if I could try them out for a bit.

Pretty much what most members (with sense) said here originally. The error wasn't the free play day, but the the actual making of it live to early.

I welcome this with open arms. Great way to try those games you weren't entirely certain about.

It's going to be very interesting if they do this with more and more games, and if they can do this with any 3rd party titles or just their own first party ones?    It's another good way to get you hooked and if you like the game after this the odds that you go out and buy it are higher when they were probably zero before.
