Looking for ballpark figures for designing a platform

Question

I work on the side for an organization that wants to create their own platform, or at least have that as an end goal.   I'll list the various stages of the project that they want, but I'm looking to see how much something like this might cost us, and how many people would be needed to do this?  Apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

The first thing that the owners of the company want, is a site they can upload videos to, preferablly automatic.   The current proof of concept idea is using vimeo to upload videos to, and then linking/embedding those into a wordpress site, but if there is a better way to have this fully automated (meaning they stick an sd card with movies or something into a pc, and it pulls the files and posts them automatically) the better.  We're looking for something like youtube, where people could comment on videos, people in the videos could be tagged, etc.  The video content is training and competition videos for a gym.  The site would also need to be able to have some form of login system, as well as billing, so that members could be charged for the content.

The second part, is more involved.   We're looking at turning the current company webpage into a full hub for member information.  The idea being users can log in, see their history, update their billing information, signup for a membership, etc.  This can evolve over time, but at some point we'd like to link it to the video site above so that users could see training videos they were tagged in from the home site.  we don't have any design ideas in mind, but something possibly like a cross between fitbit's dashboard, and a porn site (for videos, membership info, etc).    This is for a gym, so they are asking for members to be able to see their match history, workout routines, performance, the gym's schedule, etc.

I don't want to release our budget yet, but It is mid 5 figures max.   I'm thinking we probably would need at least 2-3 developers to come up with this, and help integrate with the current SDK we're using on the mobile app (Parse.com)

The third part, is mobile.   I've been working for the last year on an android app for them, but we'd need to hire an IOS developer to port the code to iphone, as well as possibly another developer to take over the android portion (I simply don't have enough time to dedicate to working on it anymore now that I have a full time job).   The app needs to again, integrate with Parse, since we've decided to use that for push notification and as our backend, but other than that...this can come later.

Hopefully there are some people on here that have done such projects and have an idea of what this might cost to source.   We are meeting with web developer on Tuesday to discuss the video site, but As I've never done something this involved, hoping to get some $ figures on what to expect, as well as time.

Thanks as always guys!

Probably $20-25k for the website and $5-8k for the iPhone app.

Probably one to two months, paying more to get it done faster. You could have most of that functionality within a week or two, but the polish takes more time.

20-25k? U serious? Most things can be archieved with existing software and done in a small time frame.

Anyway still expect people to ask this much, hiring professionals is and never will be cheap for custom sites.

I would suggest approaching this project in phases. Build the core, pick a few must have modules, and start with these. Once you've done these modules you'll have a better grasp of the burn rate for the development. Iterate. I suspect very strongly that you'll find that $25k won't cut it.

$5,000 to $8,000 to port an Android App that's been in the works for a year? Depending on the developer's rates, this budget might only last you a few weeks. Best way to avoid nasty budget surprises is to look at what was spent on the Android app and budget the same amount of $ for the iOS version.
