M.2 and Ram Question

Recommended Posts

Hey all I am in the middle of purchasing the needed parts for my new build.  Already have an i7 5820k and looking at this motherboard. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188161&cm_re=x99-_-13-188-161-_-Product

My question is two fold.. Would this M.2 SSD work in the MB i picked. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820249046and would this RAM be acceptable. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148860&cm_re=649528768445-_-20-148-860-_-Product

Thank you in advance for your input!

The ram you picked is basic but will be fine if not overclocking.

The M.2 slot on the EVGA X99 Micro you picked is limited to 30mm or 42mm (not sure which at this point).
M.2 SSD 42mm

the M.2 is not M.2 2280 to support so its for Wi-Fi.

I decided to go with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130795 and stay away from M.2 for a while and go with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148820 instead.  Decent machine?

If you really want a Micro ATX and that M.2 2280 256GB SSD there is only this one:

or go ATX
