cyrl
First of all, this is merely a suggestion as I've been visiting Neowin for a while and managed to survive through numerous redesigns, and I'm currently loving the new redesign on the homepage. The only *small* grudge that I have against it, is that the featured image in some articles just use up the entire window. I'm using a classic MBP (13 inch) so may explain the non-retina-ness but it would be nice that if the image didn't occupy the entire screen. It does give it a certain "wow" fact, maybe I'll fall in love with it over time. But it would be better if either reduced or at least occupy the entire screen than leaving those black bars on the side. Raa 1 Share

From other posts, that was the desired effect. However I don't speak for Neowin.net and will let the Admins answer this one.
Skiver Veteran Posted September 8, 2014 Veteran Share Posted September 8, 2014 I'm no expert on these things, but it does look like it's almost set to a static size. Is it not possible to determine a users resolution and then show the relevant sized image?
Roger H. Veteran Posted September 8, 2014 Veteran Share Posted September 8, 2014 Some of that is being worked on I would assume.

Steven P. Administrators Posted September 8, 2014 Administrators Share Posted September 8, 2014 It's one of the things I've reported already, I'd like to see it reduced in height and full width for 1080p screens.
Raa
I'd like to see a lot of it reduced for my x768 screen. (Ultrabook)
