Reduce the featured image on articles?

Recommended Posts

First of all, this is merely a suggestion as I've been visiting Neowin for a while and managed to survive through numerous redesigns, and I'm currently loving the new redesign on the homepage.

The only *small* grudge that I have against it, is that the featured image in some articles just use up the entire window.

I'm using a classic MBP (13 inch) so may explain the non-retina-ness but it would be nice that if the image didn't occupy the entire screen.

It does give it a certain "wow" fact, maybe I'll fall in love with it over time. But it would be better if either reduced or at least occupy the entire screen than leaving those black bars on the side.

From other posts, that was the desired effect. However I don't speak for Neowin.net and will let the Admins answer this one.

I'm no expert on these things, but it does look like it's almost set to a static size. Is it not possible to determine a users resolution and then show the relevant sized image?
