SouthGate
So I managed to break a ?130 Tritton headset after an enraged gaming session, the wire is the only thing holding it together. I need recommendations for a new headset, preferably optical (I believe that's best for sound quality?). I don't have a price limit as an audiophile, I just need something that sounds amazing? I have a good sound card. It's urgent because I have an ESL match tommorow, so I need something that can be bought in the store in the UK. I'll do a 100 mile round trip if I have to, I live near Manchester.
xrobwx71
I saw the headline and was immediately going to say Tritton. I own a Tritton AXPRO set (for about 5 years now) and would never go back. I had some Sennheiser PC320's and they are good but do not compare to the AX Pro's sound quality, depth, and clarity. Can't help you in the UK directions as I live in the US.
NightScreams
I have the Astro A40. It sounds great and has optical. I use it for both PS4 and PC with an Xfi sound card. I certainly have a ton of hp's to compare it with and it sounds pretty darn good for gaming and the price isn't bad considering it comes with the amp. I find the quality very comparable to the FiiO amplifier with many of your typical audiophile under $200 hp's, so again price wise it's fine. LaP
I have the sennheiser pc 333d and i like it a lot. But it's not for people with big ears.
