More fun Smash Bros. tidbits. It appears you can use your 3DS as a controller for the Wii U version of the game when it releases. 

 

Kyle McLain tweeted this screen shot, followed by a tweet, "The text on the top screen says 'connect your 3DS with your Wii U to exchange customized characters, and you can use it as a controller.'"

Suppose it's better than nothing if you're lacking in controllers, the equivalent of player four always getting stuck with the crappy little Mad Catz controller.
