JetFixxxer
in Drive Tools the bar shows it has 23 GB used as well as properties. Let me first start off by saying I ran Win 8/8.1 on my AMD system without ever receiving a BSOD. The Intel build I received my first BSOD in 8.1 within an hour ;) . This is where it started I received a HYPERVISOR_ERROR BSOD. When I came back in Win8 and tried to start a program thats resided on one of my SSD drives. I received the message of about the program being located. I went and check on the drive and there isn't a single folder listed in there. Not even $RECYCLEBIN folder. My OS is my a SSD.. This SSD is just a storage. New System MSI Z97 Gaming 7 Mobo i7-4970k G.Skill Ram Ripjaws 16Gb

neufuse Veteran Posted September 18, 2014 Veteran Share Posted September 18, 2014 did you install the OS from scratch on the new system or just move the OS drive over? because I've been using Intel for ever and haven't got a BSOD since Windows XP and that was because of a bad video card driver... If you just moved the OS over, there might be some problems with existing drivers and configurations that could cause a blue screen.. as for the blank drive, it isn't one that has onboard encryption is it? some of them lock that to the BIOS it was initialized on to generate the encryption key
JetFixxxer
It might be coincidence, but I was having all kinds of issue with Malwarebyte. I removed MWB and it's working. I did a fresh install and I was ribbing about the AMD/Intel thing.
JetFixxxer
Did a little further digging. Come to find out that G.Skill memory and MSI motherboards sometimes do not play well together. Intel recommends 1333/1600 and I have 2100.
JetFixxxer
That wasn't the issue. It seems like when it comes out of sleep the files do not appear. I have tried a new cable, sata port, and even updated the firmware. I reboot and they reappear.
Mindovermaster Moderator Posted September 24, 2014 Moderator Share Posted September 24, 2014 Can you set it so it never goes into sleep? There's something wrong with that SSD. RMA
