Sennheiser Game Zero

Thinking about getting these to pair them with my ASUS G750JX lappy. From what I've read online so far, their impendence is 150 so they should work just fine with the lappy. The lappy has issues with much lower impendence headphones, but no issues so far reported with impendence of about 150. Some say the bass is unusually low, but my guess is that their system is incapable of properly utilising the headphones.

Anyone with good / bad experiences?

Kinda on topic, I have the same laptop and I was trying out a pair of etymotic ER4p IEMs once I plugged in the sound was full and the other the sound was distorted. It turned out to be, when you plug in, the annoying builtin audio codec, asks you to select whether headphones or speakers are being used, I left ast headphones and then "don't" ask again... Huge mistake, apparently the codec guess crazy, erased driver and re-installed and now, i select every time whether headphones or speakers. I'm at work else i'd post some screenshots.

I had some issues getting Maxx Audio to properly work during the last few months, but now it does with the latest drivers. v6.0.1.7335, from ASUS' website. The ones from Realtek's website are crap.

  • 2 months later...

Two months in, and all I can say is that these are the best headphones for gaming that someone could own. The sound quality and the microphone's performance are beyond words. <3 Sennheiser
