Windows 7 Home premium Ethernet controller issue

Recommended Posts

Hello

I have a PC that I never really use and I turned it on a few days ago and it would not connect to the internet. I was trying to connect through an Ethernet cable but this was not working. I had an old netgear wireless adaptor lying around so I installed that and the wireless connection works perfectly. I tried to Google the problem but everything that was suggested has not worked. I was told to check the device manager and when I did the Ethernet controller has a yellow triangle at it. One website suggested that I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it from the manufactures website. I did this but I cannot find the driver now.

I am totally lost now and was wondering if someone on here would know or perhaps have had this issue before. I was not sure what information might be needed for you to know what I was talking about but I will post what is needed.

If someone could help me I would really appreciate it.

Many thanks

Try this:

From this thread:

Here is Broadcom's site if you want to try those as well:

http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/downloaddrivers.php (not sure which 57xx you need, current or previous generation)
