Hey guys, since the Windows 9 Technical Preview is coming out soon, I decided to design a concept.

It looks really cool but I'd add some barely noticeable drop shadows to windows - to distinguish which window is on the top of another for example.

Um, I can't see the way to launch desktop applications - start menu has just pinned metro ones.

like someone above said, some drop-shadows would be nice.

 

the windows 9 file explorer looks great.  love how everything has undergone a metro-esque makeover.  Microsoft better not have aero vs metro elements in windows 9.  it should all be unified.

Too cool for Microsoft. We'll be lucky to get a notification center half as nice as your concept. Forget about the command prompt looking nice. We can however, expect the same old icons throughout.

Not bad at all...couple of things stick out such as the aero buttons that you still use but overall its a design I don't immediately cough at which, while irrelevant to you, is extremely impressive.
