Madden NFL 15: More than one created player in connected franchise?

I've been searching for a while now and I can't seem to figure this out, but does anyone know if there is a way to have more than one created player in connected franchise mode in Madden 15?  I'm in week 15 or 16 in my first connected franchise season, and I'm playing as a QB, but I'd like to create another player (preferably on the same team).  Is this possible?  If it's not possible on the same team, is it possible to have two created players on different teams?  I don't see a way to even change the connected franchise, so I can't tell if I'm just stuck with this one or not.  Also, I'm playing on Xbox One as well (in case the game is different on last gen systems).
