IT Certification at your own pace through online training sites with test labs?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Anyone had any experience or know of reputable sites where you can do "online certification training" at my own pace when I'm not working in the office or busy with family. The site could provide the training materials for study (or I can get my own lets say MSCE cource books but I definitely would need an online test lab/rack depending on what certification I'm aiming for.  It allow me to put what I learn to use and play with it.

So once I signup I'd pay either monthly fee to use their training material and their test labs for the hands on practical.

Anyone know of good sites like this?  I've heard of some but not sure what which ones are reputable and have up to date lab equipment/materials.

Thanks,

VCE Player is awesome combined with CBT Nuggets training videos.

You can find VCE Player at http://www.examcollection.com and CBT Nuggets at http://http://www.cbtnuggets.com/.

I have also heard Linda.com is pretty good, but I have no experience with it. Just using the two above resources I scored an 865/900 on Security+ with about 2 weeks of dedicated studying.

MVA, by Microsoft. It's the most complete repository of info, with live sessions, videos and you can also win free exams. It's a great place.

for training: Microsoft Virtual Labs, simple.

thanks for the replies...I've looked at CBT Nuggets & Pluralsight before for training material...i guess having simulators on some boxes in VM's is the way for hands on practice.
