ady199
I'm currently running Windows 10 Enterprise TP and all works fine....I've enabled the 'Preview builds' downloading by the following reg key:- Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability]"BranchName"="fbl_release""ThresholdRiskLevel"="high""ThresholdOptedIn"=dword:00000001"ThresholdInternal"=dword:00000001 When I go to Preview Builds in Update and Recovery - it states that it's checking for a new preview build and seems to find one - as the Download now button turns bold and shows Download new preview build but when I click on Download now - it shows Downloading new preview build but then throws up the following error message:- Failed to download the new preview build, please try again later. 0x80246017 How can I download the new build??? (My branch is set to fbl_release) Thanks in advance
Brandon H Supervisor Posted October 13, 2014 Supervisor Share Posted October 13, 2014 as was stated in pretty much EVERY article that explained how to use that reg hack it does not actually work to download newer builds at this time. it is most likely for internal use and requires some kind of security key installed or a specific account logged in Neowin's Article: https://www.neowin.net/news/registry-tweak-lets-windows-10-see-new-preview-builds-but-dont-get-too-excited
