official Apple Media Event 16.10.2014 Discussion

The next Apple media event is upon us. What do you expect Apple to show off this time?

 

For me the most likely options are: Retina iMac, new iPads, OS X Yosemite, iOS 8.1 and iTunes 12 to be released today. Other Apple apps on both platforms to follow.

 

Let's just hope the live stream of the event (over at http://www.apple.com/live/ ) will work better this time than during the September event....

I'm expecting new iPads and all that too and maybe a new MacBook Air or something.

I will personally looking for some new Macbook Air with Broadwell Y processor if possible for Apple to up shake the market. New Mac Mini would really bring birth of life in Mac eco system and definitely would increase their market share IMO. Retina iMac but not that costly would be great as well.

OS X Yosemite even if not immediate availability but with all bugs iron out would be great after one or two week later on...

New iPad Air, everything else will just be gravy. I wonder if they will make a joke regarding the accidental leak of product names as Neowin reported yesterday. No doubt that there will be updates on how well the new iPhones did, iOS 8.1 and Apple Pay, etc. What I really hope they won't do is to bring out iPad Air 2 and then, without announcing it today, the larger iPad in a few months. It already felt like a kick in the teeth when 3 and 4 were about 6 months apart.

Retina iMac, the MacBook line has had the monopoly on HiDPI for too long.

Just got an ipad mini retina last month, see they added supposedly a finger reader and new sensors for the new release. Not bad. Seems there is little incentive to upgrade. Also please fix iOS8 its so buggy all round.

Edit: still have the same problem as last time, in that the stream picture freezes & the audio loops. Works fine on my Apple devices though.

Reading the live blog right now.  Apple is going on and on and on and on about Android's update rate.  They just dont get it...people dont care or dont know about hte latest update as long as it just works.  Just makes Apple look like sore losers/winers when they say stuff like that.  Every event it is the same thing.  If people cared that much, they wouldnt be buying Android devices like they are.
 

Its funny seeing Apple poke at things concerning Android when not many people care or know.  And it is equally funny seeing them display "new" features when the competition has had them for years.

Neowin has always been biased towards anything that doesnt have an MS logo stamped on it.  But that is all I will say since I am sure the posts will be deleted.
